In order of interest, The Forgotten Garden, The House at Riverton and The Distant Hours. This book was slow to get going and there was just too much going with each of the characters. It would have been far better if the author had narrowed her focus a bit more. The end just tied everything up and it was done. I think in the prior two books she wrote her female characters much stronger and I really appreciated that. I believe that faltered here.
