Stoner by John Williams
4.0

This book is the exploration of the regular man, that being, the man in the most mundane yet significant forms in life. We follow William Stoner, a regular boy up until his death. It was interesting to read a story about a regular man and experience benign parts of his life to the point where his life felt almost synonymous to us - the reader.
SpoilerPersonally, the use of infidelity in this book was not one that I agreed with but seemed like a realistic portrayal although it could have been condemned.
I would highly recommend this book to those who want to start their foray into classic literature but are afraid of the earlier works. A great story that is simple but still packs a punch.
