Gregory and the Gargoyles Vol.1 by Denis-Pierre Filippi

3.0

Fun. Adventure. Magic.

Story: Gregory has just moved to a new city to be with his dad. He hates the location, bullies are after him and he has no friends. But everything changes when he explores the local cathedral and finds a hidden magical item in his bedroom.

Language: The color palette and style is very modern and reminds me of a children's animated television show. There's a lot of text and it's spaced well in each frame.

Characters: Gregory is a young scamp, always dodging responsibilities and escaping his punishments and getting into trouble, while saving the world at the same time.

A nice adventure filled middle grade graphic novel.
