N is for Noose by Sue Grafton

rating was a challenge. this series has so many hits and misses. this was definitely a miss. the storyline was a bit more unique than some of the other ones. i also wanted to give a higher rating because sometimes i enjoy kinsey’s monologues. for example, her love to be near a beach (but not in it). there were so many moments that felt relatable. on the other hand, kinsey gives off major pick me vibes sometimes. like she can’t just let other women live and be happy with interests that don’t match her own.

the book had a bit of racism and homophobia that was QUITE upsetting and veered off from the rest of the series. i also didn’t find myself very interested in the conclusion of the mystery. not my favorite, but certainly not the worst of the series.
