The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

5.0

Others have been disappointed with the ending, however I really enjoyed this and didn't mind the ending - it was cohesive, unlike some let downs from Stephen King, for example.

Similar to King, with Morgenstern it is about the journey, and what a wonderful journey it was. A series of vignettes, woven around an advancing story, and each building on and re-enforcing the others was really cool. The repetition was not repetitious; it built atmosphere. Highly recommended.
