This is one of the most heartwarming stories I've ever read. I probably cried more than I have in any other book, but this made me feel uplifted and hopeful. The story felt like it was very personal to the author and I could definitely see the passion and care in it. The characters and plot sometimes felt exaggerated, but it somehow worked, and the humor was charming. The emotional points hit for me and the character development for Wallace was satisfying. This dealt with death in such a beautiful way, not shying away from grief, and showcasing different types of grief. I loved this book; bonus that the Wallace and Hugo romance was adorable.
