The first 200 pages of this I truly enjoyed. It reinforced a lot of ways I've been trying to live as I become a more independent adult, in a kind and supportive way, and I found the writing to very illustrative and clear. What I couldn't get past was the dialogue. There's absolutely no way everyone spoke in such calm thoughtful and thought through metaphors in every situation, nor is there any way every conversation ended in the other person coming around to Glennon's truth. It made the whole thing seem dishonest. So while I enjoyed the first 2/3 or so, wow was I over it by the end. (Other gripes include the format and the frequent mention of her charity. Ok I'll stop now)
