- a LOT of exposition in the first couple pages that maybe could’ve been spread out more. Also couldn’t help but think with the way the worldbuilding was set up that couldn’t there be a better option? Like it didn’t seem as though all the options were attempted and everyone jumped straight towards cannabalism. Sometimes it felt like gore just for the shock factor or just for gore’s sake. I prefer a little bit more of a plot but it fell flat for me, especially because it didn’t seem fully realized other than strict cannabalism.
Graphic: Cannibalism, Slavery, Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Death, Torture, Pandemic/Epidemic, Child abuse, Trafficking, Body horror, Child death, Violence, Toxic relationship, Rape, and Physical abuse
