ammonbh 's review for:
Schindler's List
by Thomas Keneally
The Book was beautifully written... But too beautifully written. There were events, details and conversations written down that were so specific and tense - but there's no way the author is know if they happened. This book really made me uncomfortable crossing the lines of historical fiction and biography. It felt very unnecessary, and really detracted from the book as a whole.
I also take issue with constant extrapolation of characters' possible thoughts, emotions, and manners. There was huge amounts of detail that although well written, had no place in telling a semi-biographical fiction. What does that even mean? You see my point.
