Hope: A Tragedy
by Shalom Auslander
This book started strong for me: totally laugh-out-loud funny and smart. But by the end, it felt pointless and I trudged through. The entire cast of characters were no longer compelling and the plot lost its momentum completely. Basically, he last half of the story felt like it existed because it had to. I was sad about this, because the first half showed such enormous promise.
