Dreamcatcher by Stephen King
3.0

When I picked this up, my first thought was that it may take me a while, it’s quite a big book! But once I got started it seemed to whizz by. I have to confess there was one point, that I had to put the book down as I had a feeling something was going to happen, and I’m so glad I did before I turned the light out, as it got quite freaky when I picked it up the following day.

Yes parts of the plot are quite ridiculous and if you are offended by farting, then it’s probably not the book for you (it gets mentioned a lot!). But the fact that five friends that have maybe lost touch as their lives changed, still have such a strong bond. I was a bit sad we didn’t see more of Beaver, he seemed like my kind of character, but the star for me was definitely Duddits. It’s maybe showing it’s age a bit too, some of the language isn’t really acceptable now but I still found this an entertaining read.
