A Bound Heart
by Laura Frantz
This book was beautifully stunning. Just just in the overall storyline of the book, but the word usage and imagery as well. I sadly have not been to Scotland yet, but reading this book I felt like I was right next to Lark feeling the breeze and tasting the salt air with her. Laura Frantz did such a great job with giving enough detail that you feel like your there, but not so much that it gets boring.
While I did think the beginning of the book was a little bland, like some books you have to get all the background and it’s not all that entertaining. After the first ten chapters the rest of the book was anything but bland. While this book was both historical and romance I would counter that it is also suspense. There were so many times in the book when I just wanted to skip ahead because their futures were so uncertain or you had in your mind that it was just going to be guy “A” but then guy “B” enters and then guy “C” and then random crazy events just randomly happen and I found myself looking up from the going “what?!”
The writing in this book was just truly amazing and I was certainly roped in by the characters and the places.
