ok this was not at all what i thought it was going to be but it was so much better than i expected!! i was expecting a generic contemporary lighthearted romance but this exceeded that. i loved the puzzle solving and all the notes shara left to help chloe, smith & rory find her. i also love literally all the characters. chloe is so relatable and tbh i don’t know what to make of shara’s character but i like her. smith and rory surprised me multiple times and they are also so so cute as a couple, i did not see that coming at all but im fully here for it. chloe’s friendship with both of them was also really nice and i liked seeing it grown and them getting closer. tbh i didn’t really see chloe & shara coming either because the plot of the book was unexpected so i thought maybe they wouldn’t end up together but i’m glad they did :) also georgia is cool, she reminds me of pip from loveless. the amount of lgbtq+ rep in this is insane and it literally makes me so so happy omg like all the main characters are part of the community and chloe has her mums which i think is amazing (also her mums sound so sweet i love them), and smith and rory realising they actually liked each other rather than shara was so refreshing idk it was so nice
