Windwitch by Susan Dennard

3.0

Honestly major eye rolls for Merik. Like audible eye rolls. This book, albeit centered on him (he's the Windwitch - obviously), doesn't do him justice, or at least doesn't do justice to the man Dennard set him up to be in the previous installment. I'm all for making characters suffer and whatnot, but Merik just feels a bit meh. All that Nihar rage (give it a break).

The rest of the book was fine, the characters as enchanting as ever (especially some of the new ones). Not as great as the first book, and a lot goes unexplained (Cam?), but I will still be waiting for my copy of the "Bloodwitch".
