Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake
by Sarah MacLean

Callie is a wallflower and firmly on the shelf at 28. Ten years ago she met Ralston in the garden at a party and has been in love with him ever since. Tired of being the good girl, Callie makes a list of scandalous things she would like to try in order to finally start living. First on the list is to be kissed passionately, so she visits Ralston to ask for a kiss. Ralston is in need of someone to introduce his newly discovered sister into society, so he trades a kiss for Callie for help getting her ready to meet the ton.
I just loved all the interactions in here. Callie and Ralston are superb. All the mischief Callie got herself into was just so fun. The whole book flowed really well, and was just a great example of how good a historical romance can be.
I've read a few MacLean's before, and I think this one is far and away the best. I'm looking forward to trying more in the series to see if anyone can compare to the force that is Calpurnia!
