Shadow Kiss
by Richelle Mead
Reread, December 2022: These books are not well written, my apologies to Richelle Mead. (I read the kindle editions originally and now I’m reading paper copies, and I’m like “did they do stealth editing to make the ebook better, or was the writing always this stilted and I just missed it?”) But I am still just thinking of the plot points in relation to the show and unfortunately having an emotion. Kieron Moore Strigitri, let’s go/I WILL cry. And, like, under no circumstances do you “gotta hand it” to Julie Plec, but it is nice how the show has already incorporated stuff from later books, specifically the conversation about how fucked up “they come first” is.
