It was the same few lines over and over again. “You don’t own me” “I own you”. Having a domineering ML comes off as hot alpha male only when the FL is strong in her own right. If you have someone dominating a week person, they both look weak and pathetic. The FL was overweight (though in my opinion a size 8 is not fat or overweight), a cutter and on drugs, it was like the writer hates women and writes them to be as pathetic as possible. I love crazy evil male leads, but you need to have a female strong enough to deal with him. I have no reason to believe this female lead can deal with anything with all her issues. Also the betraying body troupe is just lazy writing.
