I had avoided reading this book because I wasn't up for a story where - even though I know it all turns out well in the end - there is even the smidge of a chance the kiddo ends up with the rubbish parent. Even for a bit. I should not have been concerned. Rusty is fine.
Apart from that, I really enjoyed this story. It's a pretty quick read, the characters are adorable and it's always nice getting a check in from the characters in the other books. The level of disregard FMC Charlie had for MMC dad Daniel's rules did bother me, and I felt like that was one area that could have been more fully explored in the end, but all in all this was a really enjoyable, fun read.
