Every Single Secret by Emily Carpenter

5.0

4.5 Stars!

Holy, this was twisted! Every Single Secret was my first novel by Emily Carpenter, and I can’t wait to read her previous two!

Daphne and Heath are a very private couple; so private, that they have made a pact to not to reveal anything about their pasts to one another. In time, Heath reconsiders this pact and suggests to Daphne they undergo couples counselling at a week long retreat. When they arrive, it’s clear to Daphne that something is very off about the institution, and this intuition will lead her to discover secrets she’ll wish were never revealed.

I devoured this book and had such a hard time putting it down! I absolutely love thrillers that involve characters being isolated and trapped; the desperation of their situation makes the story much more gripping to me. This was a solid 5 star read for me up until the very ending, as I found the ending to feel somewhat rushed and wrapped up too tidily. Overall though I LOVED this book and would highly recommend!
