Eh. I was interested in the two main characters but this didn’t work as a novella. Needed more time to flesh some things out - like, we are told Medusa is the best assassin ever but never shown it and I didn’t find her believable as an assassin. Also, the love story was WAYYYY too insta-lovey for me. I am also very confused about the world… at one point a character says “I don’t think I even believe in the gods” when she lives in Olympus and her literal boss is Athena?? Who are the gods if not Athena, Zeus, Demeter, etc? I do appreciate how Roberts’ stories consistently highlight diverse sexualities and body types though! Anyway, I liked the idea of this story but not the execution, it was a free kindle download tho so I don’t know why I’m complaining lol
