The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine

Wow. Oh wow.

Right before finishing this book I told my friend, “Oh yeah it’s another basic domestic thriller. I’m enjoying it but I’m super disappointed because it’s very obvious there won’t be a big plot twist.”

WELL WHO WOULD’VE GUESSED. LET ME JUST SAY I WAS SO SO SO SO WRONG.

Do you like unreliable narrators?
What about plot twists?
Rich families with mega issues?
Screwed up families?
Twisted people doing twisted things?
If you said yes to any or all of the above, then I recommend you give this book a try!

I am normally really good about guessing the endings to these kinds of books, which isn’t great because a good plot twist is my favorite thing about thrillers! I want to be shocked! And this book did exactly that. I read a few reviews saying it was out of left field and there was nothing that could’ve even clued them in, and while I agree there was nothing that made me even guess what would happen, looking back I see all the clues and hints and that’s just so exciting! I was able to think back and see how everything falls into place.

There is one part of the ending that left me kind of confused, and maybe I did miss something, but I think it was done on purpose to make you unsure. And I kind of... liked that? It was nice.

I don’t expect great literature when I’m reading a book like this, I want something that keeps me hooked and has me on the edge of my seat. This was exactly what I was looking for! 4.5/5 stars!
