Another fun mystery in the Clara Vale series. Clara is a private investigator, a rare thing for a lady in 1929. She finds herself in the midst of a travelling pantomime when Cinderella's Fairy Godmother is found dead, swiftly followed by a second murder. Poisonings, jewel theft, adulterous spouses and clandestine activities abound in this whodunnit mystery.
