This is genuinely the best book i’ve ever read. I fell in love from the very first page. Feinberg’s writing is incredibly intense and vivid, and every moment of reading punched me in the gut. I found so much connection with the characters, stories, histories, and truths that were written. I saw myself and my friends and my lovers and all of our queer elders and ancestors. I felt all their pain and love and hope and fiery passion. Feinberg’s style only enhanced it all. I don’t know how to describe it. Hir writing is just so absolutely amazing. I could reread this book a million times. To any bulldaggers and butches and he-shes and femmes and queens: read this. You’ll thank me later.
