One of my favorite stories of all time, from when I was a little girl obsessed with the movie to an adult who has re read it pretty much every year.
Adventurous, horrifying, thought provoking, and brilliantly critical of how capitalism exploits science.
Full of interesting characters that are fun to follow and have come to feel like old friends to me (though movie Lex is far superior).
Shaped my love of monster horror and has some truly chilling sequences that stay with me in nightmares.
I love the nature of the dinosaurs, the question of how alike to the real ones they could ever be as they are ultimately man made hybrids with at times eerie qualities; and what are the implications of such creatures existing in our world?
There’s so much to say, I may end up editing this review to fit all my thoughts in, but all in all this is a perfect book to me and there’s not a thing I don’t love.
