The Cuckoo Clock of Doom
by R.L. Stine
4/5
This book was way more fun than I imagined. It was a good deviation from what I was expecting and the development is actually somewhat terrifying.
As for the ending, it was kinda obvious, but twisted just enough to be interesting. Getting rid of his sister as a side effect would be extremely scary if she wasn't a little monster. And, honestly, it felt really sincere that he wouldn't go back for her after all that.
All in all, a very fun Goosebumps book. I usually prefer the more supernatural ones, but this one was actually pretty scary.

To keep it short, I don't really like time travel stories, but this one was actually really fun. At first, I thought his fate was just reliving painful memories, but no, it was way worse than that. He was locked in a path of certified death, and every single time he failed, it got way harder to get it right. After he became a kid I honestly thought it was all lost for the poor kid. And, might I add, his whole family sucks so much.As for the ending, it was kinda obvious, but twisted just enough to be interesting.
