Watersnakes by Tony Sandoval
4.0
I don't know if it's an issue with translation but I really disliked the dialog and narration in this collection. I disliked it so much that I stopped reading the text after a while, and just pretended this was a wordless story.
As a wordless graphic novel, this would have been a five star book.
Yes, the art is gorgeous, but also I think Sandoval tells so much of the story with his images and facial grammar that his work doesn't need the text, and its absence would add to the surreal atmosphere of this book.
