I didn't know what to expect when I picked it up. But now that I have read it, I think I get it!
This epic tale felt like it was part of a huge trilogy filled with betrayal, corruption, love, and complications... But it isn't. It's a standalone. Sadly.
I liked how the world was set up. The rules, the principles, the lies. Nothing was what it seemed.
The characters were really lovable. The multiple POVs helped me grasp the world in a better way.
The ending tho… I was mostly disappointed. I just couldn't understand why!
