Okay so I picked this up completely blind from a charity shop as part of a package deal with some supernatural young adult romances assuming it was similar (i needed a little respite from exam reading) but what this was, was nothing that I expected until I saw the original cover on goodreads.
why the fuck is he randomly scottish, why is his mega virginity so talked about, why the insta lust for a man who held her hostage with chains for two years??????? the sex scenes were so built up but so dull, the fact that they dont even face Mab our main protagonist? LAME. I was so hooked by the idea of 1811 london fantasy and was repeatedly let down by poor world building and even suckier romance. and then SHE KILLS HERSELF AT THE END SO SHE CAN BE WITH HIM - its giving the worst Romeo/Juliet inspired.
This was not for me - I should not have read this - I should have DNF but I am far too stubborn -
