I really wanted to love this more, but it was way too slow for me. The cover is beautiful and the story arc is interesting, but this book really needed some editing down. I think this could have been 100 pages shorter. I think the parts with Nana and Nani could have been reduced to focus more on the competitors and competition. I am thankful to have exposed myself to a new mythology, but I wanted less pages.
