The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White

4.0

I'm glad I gave this a section chance. It ended up being a quick, pleasant read and interesting retelling. The introduction still feels confusing, and some of the plot was more predictable and slow than I had hoped, but it's also atmospheric. Reminds me of Robin Hobb/The Assassin's Apprentice and the way she dives into the minutiae of daily life. Still undecided how I feel about the take on "womanly" magic vs "powerful/manly" magic.
