Oathbound by Tracy Deonn

4.0

I enjoyed reading this, and I sped through it despite the length, but it was just missing so much of what the first two books were built on. The focus of this book seemed to be character development for Bree, but it wasn’t as impactful as it could’ve been. I wished that Deonn had leaned farther into the emotional manipulation aspect of things. As it stood, there didn’t seem to be enough conflict in the story to justify its length. It very much read as Act One of what should’ve been the final book in the trilogy.
