The actual story starts at the 40% mark, and it’s true what everyone says, the chapters cut off like movie scenes, which makes the story feel a bit choppy. Honestly, everyone could’ve used some therapy a lot sooner. And don’t even get me started on the resolution to the main issue. How did Lily’s dad keep Celeste in the dark for years? I loved the first two books, but things have been going downhill since. I have high hopes for Lex’s story, so we’ll see.
