In case you don't want to read the whole review, please note that I preferred and put down both the Grishaverse and Maasverse when I got this book.

Not going to lie, Westin was one of my favorite characters from the previous books, even though she had a small role. She's like me, reserved in public but a real wild streak in private and to people who don't know her. So I was super stoked when I learned that my predictions were confirmed that she was going to be the main character for this book.

It was nice to see a chronically ill person be the romantic lead and
not be cured of their disorder by the end and have her mates stick by her.
As a fellow disabled person myself, it gives me hope.

Now let's get to the meat of the book. Unlike the previous iterations, this book did not need to go through another round of editing. Truly just proves that Emerson gets better with each novel.

I truly hope in the next book, if it doesn't focus on Westin, focuses on Clementine and/or the mysterious vigilante.
