Maybe I'm too easy to impress. I haven't read that much thriller, but this was another great read. I was extremely confused with all those characters that I had to create a brain map 😅 and turns out most of my assumptions were wrong 😅
I can't possibly explain how I feel. How the story is told from several points of view is kinda confusing but also shares a lot of background that comes together so nicely at the end I shared a tear (or many). Poor characters. I was able to empathize with all the good ones. The sickening in the world is just... I'm not a mother but I can't bear to imagine how it would feel like to have your child abducted and now know if they are ok...
Elisabeth Carpenter made a great job by keeping the story nice and steady. I guess the scariest part is that it's something that could happen to anyone. Monsters are living among us, and Elisabeth was capable to remind me of that. Such a wonderful read.
