The description for this book did not do the contents justice - for my first book of 2023, I was sucked in almost immediately when
we begin with the murder of the Opal Miner
. This book reminded me of a Wrinkle in Time. It’s about childhood, growing up, and facing your fears, about love and about an ocean at the end of a lane.
