The False Prince
by Jennifer A. Nielsen
This was SO fun to read. I loved the entire premise. The gravity of the situation definitely felt tense and deserved.
The main character could have easily been grating, but I found that his earnestness and care for others under that devil-may-care attitude made him feel more real and not annoying.
