I was confused about this entry into the franchise. At first I thought it basically would ignore all the movies after the first one, but then I discovered that it actually fit right in between 1 and 2. Clever.
The story was good and it kept me interested. The big problem with this franchise is that there's really nothing new to add--it has all pretty much been done.
Still, Lebbon is a master storyteller and he manages to make a tired franchise interesting.
