Grant Morrison made Batman fun again, which is a huge development. I get the appeal of the Frank Miller dead serious approach, but twenty years on it's just tedious. And of course it makes perfect sense: have Robin, the little, younger character who doesn't quite fit in the grimdark approach into the dead serious character, and have Dick Grayson-as-Batman enjoy his work.
