I honestly had no idea where this book was going to go. Was she gonna be in a relationship with a ghost? Was Ben gonna help her fall in love with someone else?? Was it gonna be a “nothing worked out but I’m still happy” kind of happy ending??? Absolutely no clue (although I did guess what happened eventually, but still I honestly thought it would be a long shot). I hoped for the best and kept saying “this is a romance novel and I need to trust the author.” I’m glad I did because this book was amazing!
It started off a little slow, however the book continues to pick up and I couldn’t put it down after getting about half way through. I was very hesitant about reading this book at first because I had no idea how premise could be a romance novel. But this book proved me very wrong. It was a roller coaster of emotions and had me audibly gasping at the different plot point in the book. It kept me on my toes and was a great book to reading during October (although it takes place in spring/summer but we can pretend it’s fall).
