I find Michelle Moran's writing compelling; she keeps me intrigued, and this book of her's is no different. She expertly weaves a story about these characters, all the while being able to show what important (and oftentimes gruesome) times in history were truly like. I also enjoy the selections at the end of the novel which tell what happened to the characters later in life and then shares what minor changes she had to make along with small details which you might of thought she made up, but which were true.
