Ne'er Duke Well by Alexandra Vasti is a fun and steamy Regency romance with a unique twist!

The setup is fantastic: a scandalous American duke and a proper English lady trying (and failing) to keep things strictly business. Peter and Selina are both engaging characters, and their banter and chemistry definitely heat up the pages. I also loved the inclusion of Peter’s siblings, who added a lot of heart and humor to the story.

That said, I struggled to fully connect with the characters and didn’t entirely buy into the reasons they kept themselves apart. While I appreciated the author’s writing style and found plenty to enjoy, this particular story just didn’t resonate with me as much as I’d hoped. That said, some of the supporting characters intrigued me, so I’m excited to check out other books in the series.

Still, this was a refreshing take on the Regency genre, with a blend of wit, steam, and charm. If you enjoy unconventional historical romances with a good dose of humor, this one is worth picking up!
