The characters are so flat and over the top it’s almost cartoony.
Commander Killian is essentially just Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.
Isolde comes off as bratty and petty rather than independent and cunning. It also rubs me the wrong way that she’s dark skinned and jealous of every “pale white” woman in a 30 mile radius of her husband.
Adrian is pretty much just a simp, which I’d normally be cool with, but at 50% in, I expected a bit more “blood and battle” from him.
The smut was pretty good in the beginning but got boring and repetitive as the story continued.
I dnf’d before it was revealed but it’s so obvious that Isolde is a reincarnation of Adrian’s past lover. As a seasoned Inuyasha fan, I hate that trope with a burning passion
