 My Review… 4.5 ⭐️

I absolutely love a book that has a solid, realistic ending. This book has that. It not only was written beautifully but wrapped up very well.
During the book I had no idea where we were going but it was a trip I don’t regret taking.
Part thriller, part suspense, part mystery…. The story within a story doesn’t always work but this one does!! Also I read this physically, but every few chapters while cleaning I listened to the audiobook and that narrator was CHEFS KISS.

Synopsis: Florence is a low level publishing employee who believes that she is destined to be a famous writer. When she stumbles into a job as the assistant to the brilliant, enigmatic novelist known as Maud Dixon-his true identity has been a secret - it appears the universe is finally giving Florence her big chance.
The arrangement seems perfect, Dixon who’s real name is Helen, can be prickly but she is full of wisdom – not only on how to write, but also on how to live. Florence quickly falls under her spell and accompanies her to morocco, where Helen‘s new novel is set.
when Florence wakes up in the hospital after a terrible car accident with no memory of the previous night, and no sign of Helen, she’s tempted to take a shortcut. Instead of hiding in Helen shadow, why not upgraded to Helen’s life? Not to mention her best selling pseudonym.
Twisty and viciously entertaining this book is a stylish psychological thriller about how far into the darkness you’re willing to go to claim the life you’ve always wanted.
