Book 41 of 2025 was Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. This was our September book club book and I wasn’t able to go because I had plans with the family to go to Cedar Point. I also kinda put this aside to finish other books but I finally finished it. I loved Evelyn Sage’s personality, she was such a cute, clumsy character and just the last person you would think of as a villain’s assistant. I know there are rumors that this is going to be turned into a show and I sure hope so because I think it would be even better as a show as the book feels like a script even though it isn’t. I pictured Zooey Deschanel (new girl) and Nathan Fillion (Castle) as the Villain. I rated this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars.
