I was really on board for most of the book, especially Haze's pov, but i was really disappointed by the ending.
the reveal of Fox's meddling kinda spoiled it. Especially since he was a partial pov character. It made all the trouble Haze went through feel kind of pointless. And especially I found Fox's choice to kidnap Jenny and plan to kill her insanely irrational and a bigger liability than anything Haze did. To me personally, it felt irredeemable, and made me no longer support them getting away with their crimes. I'm glad Haze decided to spare Jenny, it was the right thing to do and solidified her character as someone who stood for justice. Jenny deciding to join them in their serial killing scheme felt really out of character to me. As someone who was so afraid of being a bad person and so concerned with getting back to her job for her son's sake, it felt weird to me that she was so okay with aiding and abetting serial killers so fast.
