This was a treat!
I clicked with the main character right away. A young woman in the midst of war - doing all she can to help out by working at the fire station. Her dream is becoming a proper journalist - but she accidentally ends up at a woman's magazin. Yet she still makes the most of that too...
The book has some really sad moments - in war there will always be horrific things happening obviously. But mostly it's more of the "keep going no matter what!" sort of book that leaves you with a smile and hope and not with a packet of tissues and hot cocoa for comfort and solace.
I enjoyed this story from start to finish, even though the end was a bit more soppy than the book felt along the way. I would definitely recommend it anyway!
