Veronica McCreedy is one of my favorite characters ever.
I had been trying to get my hands on this sequel to How the Penguins Saved Veronica (Away with the Penguins) for so long and finally was able to obtain a copy in the US thanks to my library! And the wait was so worth it!
We have all of our favorite characters back together again and this time Veronica is invited by Sir Robert Saddlebow to narrate a new penguin documentary. While we follow Veronica on her journey, we also have storylines following Patrick on his search to learn about his dad, Terry with a new challenge on top of her penguin research, and Daisy - who gets to join Veronica in the Falklands and befriends a penguin along the way.
I absolutely loved getting all these different storylines. They made me laugh, made me cry, made my heart flutter... the emotions that Hazel Prior is able to convey through words is spectacular.
I am so excited to see what the final book in the series will include! I adore all of these characters so much, and I have faith that Hazel Prior will give them all a much deserved ending.
If you love wholesome stories that also touch on deeper subjects, you definitely need to check out the Veronica McCreedy books!
