Special thanks to my girlfriend, who gave me this awesome book!

β€œLook around you at all the beauty, complexity, and variety of life. We live in a world of mistakes, governed by chance” - Sean B. Carroll

🧠 My thoughts
This was a fantastic read! The book was concise but informative and gave systematic arguments to the topic β€œWhy is the world the way it is?”. The author successfully packed lots of information regarding anthropology, genetics, etc. in less than 300 pages. The book gave me a hopeful view of humanity, taught me a lot of new knowledge, and managed to convince me that the world was somehow built on chances and contingencies.

I totally recommend this book!
