Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

This was a dense read with a lot of details and world-building content, but totally worth it. The pace picks up around halfway in, and leads to a rapid series of twists and turns at the end. What I loved the most was this book’s ability to make me want to STAY in the story - even when it was moving slowly, or the story was dense, I never wanted to put down the book and step away. Great way to jump back into the fantasy genre!

Content warning for this book: the story deals with drug use and abuse, sexual and physical violence, and child abuse.
