This second book in the duology just doesn’t have the best reviews and an even lower rating than the first book but….I don’t know, I just liked it.
Yeah it gets away from time linked to blood which is what originally drew me in and it wasn’t an epic plot line. Plus there were a number of minor plot lines that came from nowhere and ended up going no where. But STILL! Despite all of that, I couldn’t help it. I was a fan!
I agreed with Jules’s decision making. Thought it typical of YA but not annoying like a lot of YA. And I love a good story revolving around a journey not just standstill at a destination. I read the book as a puzzle to glimpse the original lives of Jules and Caro. Knowing that the current characters and interactions weren’t deep, just a means to unlock the next memory.
